"God grant
me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the
courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know

Hollywood Picture Day
Submitted by Vicki Hartway, ADC of Claiborne and Hughes
Health Center on March 20, 2002
Size: 20 to 30 throughout the day
Equipment: backdrop (of material), Plants for background,
a good camera, Lots of film, Props (feather boa, Sunglasses,
Scarves, Clip on earrings), Hair supplies, make up
Objective: provide residents with a self esteem boost
and to feel like a superstar
Description: We had the residents come down to the
beauty shop throughout the day to have their hair done
and make up applied. We then took our different props
and dressed them up like Hollywood royalty And took
different snap shots. Fun was had by all. The film
was developed in triplicate. Activity staff kept a
set and families received double prints of each picture.
This is an excellent PR activity with families.

Any activity
that has to do with water balloons.
Submitted by LISA

1. Water Balloon Toss: Have
pairs face each other approx. 10 feet apart. Toss the
balloon across to partners, if balloon breaks, the pair
is out. Have pairs take large step backwards, continue
until last pair is left with water balloon. Enjoy the
WET FUN!!!!
2. The orange pass with a
water balloon: Place water balloon between chin and chest
and turn and pass to team member and continue down the
line of team members. When the last person gets the balloon,
they come to the front of the line and continue until
the first person is at the front again. The team that
keeps the balloon and gets back to start first wins. Enjoy!!!! |
